She was so easy to listen to and really gave me great insight about how police work can affect your life. I'll never forget her saying, If you're not willing to die for a stranger this is not the right career for you!
Christine was real, witty, and compassionate in how she talks about her job. You can tell she loves what she does! She was an excellent choice to give us a real perspective of what it's like to be a police officer and detective. We can't wait to have her back to help speak with the new leadership of Boys and Girls Club, Girl Scouts, and the Martin Luther King Center.
Intelligence. I like to invite guest speakers to come and share briefly their experience, whether it is a police officer or community member. For this class I chose my co-worker Officer Christine Mannina to share with the class her experience as a Homicide Detective and her 20-plus years of experience on IMPD. I was very pleased! Officer Mannina's speech was very informative, personal, and attentive. She did an awesome job! She spoke with compassion and openness and I would gladly invite her back.
